G-SHOCK, which has pursued toughness since its launch in 1983 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023, has released the third signature model supervised by NBA professional basketball player Rui Hachimura. The base model is the DW-6900, which has been popular around the world since its release in 1985. The image of the snowy Tateyama mountain range towering between the sea and sky of Toyama Prefecture, Hachimura's hometown, is expressed throughout the watch in ice blue and white coloring. The dial features the contour lines of the Tateyama mountain range, and the back cover is engraved with Hachimura's original logo, which was created in honor of his uniform number "8 (八)". The original logo also appears on the EL backlight, giving the watch an edgy, sporty and bold design. It is a neat design that is suitable for the sporty and fashionable image of Hachimura.
