Electro-harmonix ABOUT electro-harmonix Electro Harmonix was founded in October 1968 by Mike Matthews. The first product was a fuzz pedal called the Axis Fuzztone. After that, the linear power booster "LPB-1", a model that could be called the original booster, created with Bob Mayer, an engineer at Bell Laboratories, who won numerous Nobel Prizes in Physics, became a big hit, and the Electro Harmonix brand became widely known, even though it was only sold by mail order. Subsequently, around the latter half of 1969, they released the famous "Big Muff", and in the 1970s they released models that are still popular today, such as the Small Stone and Memory Man, which recorded strong sales. Based on the familiar classic three-knob (Sustain/Tone/Volume) layout of Big Muff, which has been a part of rock guitar sound for 40 years, we have added a new and carefully selected tone control function. A wide range of distortion sounds with sweet singing tones, violin-like sustain, and wonderful tones. We want you to experience the unique sound potential of this pedal. A classic effector that represents E-hamo. 7 control knobs for finer sound creation. ■VOLUME: Adjust the output level (volume) when the effect is ON. ■TONE: Adjust the tone (covers from deep low range to high range). ■SUSTAIN: Adjust the amount of sustain and distortion like the original BIG MUFF PI. ■ATTACK: Adjust the volume of the attack effect. ■GATE: Turning this knob clockwise increases the sensitivity of the noise gate (when turned fully counterclockwise, the noise gate effect disappears). ■MIDS LEVEL: When MIDS is ON, this knob allows +/-10dB boost/cut at the frequency set with the FREQ knob. Turning the MIDS LEVEL knob above the center 12 o'clock position will boost (to cut, turn it counterclockwise from the 12 o'clock position). Note that this knob has a center click at the 12 o'clock position, and at the 12 o'clock position the EQ is flat, with no boost or cut. Also, when the knob is turned fully counterclockwise, the EQ is bypassed. ■MIDS FREQ: Set the center frequency of the MIDS EQ circuit in the range of 310Hz to 5.0kHz. Please note that the MIDS FREQ knob does not function when the MIDS footswitch is OFF (bypassed) or when the MIDSLEVEL control is at the 12 o'clock position. FREQ knob can also control EXP Switch to expand sound variations ■BASS BOOST/NORMAL: When set to [NORMAL], it becomes the current “NYC” BIG MUFF sound. When you switch the switch to the [BASS BOOST] side, the volume of the low range will be amplified. ■MIDS Q: Use this switch to set the resonance or MIDS EQ bandwidth. In [LOW] mode, the EQed sound becomes more broadly rounded and affects a large frequency range.
