Explanation by manufacturer Its convenience is not limited to the source
This basic model of the DAIWA headwaters pole is attractive with a small 39 cm finish that fits perfectly in a daypack or travel bag, and a wide variety of 8 items that can be selected in length depending on the situation. It is suitable not only as a main tackle in the headwaters, but also as a spare rod to carry in a daypack in case of trouble. Also, its attractive specs are not limited to mountain streams, and it is highly versatile as a rod that makes fishing feel more familiar, starting with small object fishing in clear streams, lakes, and the sea. The tip is equipped with a mega top that enables more accurate operation with less variation in bending.
Equipped with features comparable to higher models/mega top
“Megatop” is the name of DAIWA's technology for solid (solid material) used for tips. The major difference between mega top and general carbon is the difference in bias between carbon fiber and resin (resin). Since bias occurs in general carbon, places with strong strength and places with weak strength are formed as a result. Megatop succeeded in arranging this almost uniformly. Surprising results were obtained with an entrapment strength 1.5 times higher than before. Also, since carbon fibers are uniformly distributed, there is little variation from individual to individual, and 360 degrees, similar bending is shown in any direction.
※The video explains it with a rod with a guide, but the basic structure does not change even for mountain stream poles. However, Kotsugu Kiyose does not rapidly taper the tip, making it possible to demonstrate the strength of the material.
■Anti-stick ring
Adhesion refers to a situation where knots are fixed as if they were glued together, and the rod cannot be folded. The cause of sticking occurs when the joint part between the nodes becomes a kind of vacuum for some reason. Therefore, DAIWA made it possible to prevent sticking by creating an air layer here.
